NCTI offers educational and examination programs relating to the certification requirements of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians at the EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate/85, EMT-Intermediate/99, and EMT-Paramedic levels. These programs focus on preparing candidates for successful completion of the National Registry certification and re-certification requirements and the National Registry examination, recognized and/or required in numerous states as the official certification/licensure examination.
Massachusetts Practical Skills Exam
Licensure and certification of EMTs and Paramedics in Massachusetts is regulated by the Office of Emergency Medical Services. The state of MA administers its own EMT and Paramedic exams and does not rely on the NREMT, National Registry for either the written EMT test or the Paramedic test. NCTI offers MA state skill exams throughout the year. (NCTI does not offer the MA written exam.) You must register with a PSI testing site after confirmation of successful completion of your training program, and/or successful completion of the Practical Skills exam. Registration for each exam closes 3 weeks prior to the scheduled exam dat e.
